This job scam is to get your information and get money from you. And a job seeker should NOT be spending money they don’t have. This is similar to the buy your own equipment from the company scam. Job seekers are already stressed trying to find a job and scammers take advantage of that.

About the fake job listing; I don’t have the description because Indeed deleted it but it is all generic job tasks that are easy that doesn’t match with a high amount per hour wage.

What is the scam?

If you click the website, it takes you to a page saying they need you to do a credit check for the job. Which you don’t need for a job like this. Rarely a job will ask that unless it is in banking (beware of those too). But a red flag is saying you need to use a specific link and pay your own money to get the result. There are plenty of legit websites to find your credit score for free like FreeCreditReport.com. If the job doesn’t accept a well known legit free website, do NOT continue with them, they are a scam.
